commercial bio fuels yup, but if you mean more home grown stuff like vegetable/cooking oil, i wouldn't recommend it.
I know some diesel owners do a 70/30 split of veggie oil to diesel, because if you run 100% veggie oil on more modern diesels it blows the fuel pumps.
Is your TD an auto? 23mpg is very poor! something is wrong

Yup - I get 33mpg around here, low 40s on a steady cruise ;)

Not much better then than a petrol 2.5
I guess it's an auto, but still should be better than that, say high 20's, longer run around high 30's or 40 at least. Needs a tune up/check up to see if anything amiss. :y
Just stick to normal diesel :y
Mick ;)

If your tractor is an auto then youve got to change the gearbox to an AR35 if you chip it or your gearbox wont last long. ;)

Where do you buy commercial bio fuel from and how much is it ? :)

my mate converts old oil with a filtering system and some sort of chemicals, he runs his 05 vw transporter on it since new and never had a fault, so i was just intrested then as his vw is far newer than my tractor lol
