Disconnected plug from egr unit & the revs stayed the same :o
Does this mean that the units knackered & needs replacing which is why the engines stuttering/misfiring/running roughly when i'm driving?
Also when 4 of the spark plugs are taken out individually there's hardly any difference in engine note but when no. 6 is taken out the engine stalls :o
ps. for those lucky enough not to have read any of my previous threads i've already done the following -:
changed dis pack
changed spark plugs
changed ht leads
did a compression test
tested the maf sensor
I've had loads of omegas in the past but never had the problems i'm suffering with now with this one >:( :( :o :-/ :'(

make a blanking plate up for the egr. re-plug the connector as it thinks its still in circuit so to speak. :y

Have plated it off & re-plugged in which obviously has extinguised the eml but the stuttering/running rough is still there when i drive :'( :'( :'(

Are the plug leads connected to the DIS pack in the right order?
as a note, the egr valve is closed at idle on a petrol engine so unplugging it would make no odds.....you need to blank it off to test it

i've blanked it off, re-plugged it & its still running rough/stuttering/misfiring!
Could the egr valve be knackered & how would i know?
All the leads are on the dispack in the correct order & fully attached.
i've also pointed out that when the plugs where taken off individually there were only 2 that made the revs dramatically change whilst the others hardly made a difference when taken off - what could this point to :(
PLEASE HELP :'( :'( :'(
