Title: Car pass
Post by: Ken L on 12 May 2010, 07:26:13
Just how vital is the car pass? if a car is bought without one, can it be replaced? and radio codes, can these be obtained?
TIA
Ken

radio codes can be obtained from audio specialists.

it also has key numbers and immobiliser codes.
without this, no chance of programming a new key to the car etc.

so if you never need to alter the above, you dont need one at all

can be had from £15 upwards depending on the dealer, so ring around.

Worth getting hold of one in case you lose the key, IMHO.

One of those things thats not at all important until something goes wrong (as said such as losing the key, or battery going flat and needing the stereo code)...its pretty cheap so may as well go to Vaux and get one :y

Right thanks, I've got one for my car, I've been looking at another car and he has no car pass  and the radio is on safe mode after fitting a new battery.
