Title: 2.0 CDX Estate towing a caravan

Hi there just a bit of generall advice if possible. I am just about to hook up my 2.0cdx auto estate to my caravan,Never used this for towing befor.Are ther any special precautions or advice i should know about bearing in mind she has done around 150,000miles. Many thanks

a good service and I would change the auto box oil if you have'nt already

would also get some spring stoppers just in case, helps with full load in back and caravan weight.

Thanks for that,Do these cars make good tow cars and should i use superplus unleaded to give it a bit more oomph

depends a lot on the weight that you are towing,I tow a 1500kg van with mine but its a v6 so copes well

My 2.2DTi estate tows a 1200Kg (unladden) caravan with ease. As mentioned above I also fitted some spring assistors as well just to stop the springs going full travel.
