Hi guys
over the last 2/3 weeks I have had a few different codes pop up
a few weeks ago I had 135 which has now dissspeared and now showing code 19.
Could these be stored codes popping up at random?? I dont have any issues at all with the car
please note that the cambelt was done last week..
-
19 is incorrect RPM signal - crank sensor could be faulty.
-
I looked up the code number...
Could this have gone faulty after changing the cambelt??? Where will I find this little beauty then??
Surely if the crank sensor was faulty, there would be an issue with the car??

Assuming that it is in a similar place to the TD, it is on the flywheel housing, just below the starter motor.
When I had problems with the crank sensor, the only symptom I had was that the engine was very difficult to start, which turned out to be the starter motor had worked loose and was causing interference with the sensor...

Its just above the oil filter and the plug is near the dis pack. The crank sensor will sooner or later give up all together and then the car won't start.

19 Incorrect RPM Signal
31 No Engine RPM Signal
135 Telltale (Checklight) Voltage Low
The crank position sensor on a V6 is behind the oil filter on the passenger side.

that crank sensor needs changing before it lets you down
