Title: secondary air pump do i really need it .

hi i cant here my secondary air pump coming on assume its buggered as soon as i start the car 2.5 v6 manual . could i do away with it or do i really need it . am i right in thinking its something to do with the emmisions .

 :)

Yes, it does improve emissions but only during warm up so will make no difference at MOT time. It can safely just be disconnected.

you can do without it,only there for clean emissions when cold :y

suspose thats a good thing not to hear it av had the car for 3 years
