Title: locking wheel nuts

hello not been on for a while was gonna get rid of my omega but had a change of heart cuz i love the thing anyway i have lost or never had locking wheel nut on my facelift omega is there anyway of replacing it without drilling them off any help would be great

if you can't think of anything to get them off without drilling then drilling it is lol

I got mine off by hammering on a socket that was just slightly smaller . :y

Yeah, like Proz, I had to remove 4 from my Honda Legend that some twa* had put on with an air wrench  >:(

It took time and patience and a club hammer and cost a couple of sockets but off they came.

I believe there is a tool for removing them and I guess a garage may have one, May be worth a phone call or two.

A lot of tyre fitters now have them, off within a couple of minutes but you are not allowed to watch.

Hammer on an 18 mm socket as Proz says, sometimes the collar will come off and you can then use a 17 mm socket on what's left. Just be careful of hitting the wheel face as I did more than once  :(

If you have the cake cutter type I found the manufacturer, emailed them a photo of the pattern together with roof of ownership, they identified the number and for £12 sent me the right key socket - a lot cheaper and easier than having the locking nuts removed - ajita@evoautomotive.co.uk

hi mate my locking nut got sheard so i took my car to a tyre fitters and he removed all the locking wheelnuts and gave me some old replacement nuts for a fiver try in your area you might be lucky too
