Post by: VX1 on 23 May 2010, 14:18:13
What is needed to put the rear spring back into place on a mig? Got the spring out with brut force but now needing help to get the replacement in. Any help would be appreciated.

When you have dropped the diff you may need to get someone to stand on the rear arms to give enough clearance to get the springs home.

in addition to the guide i dropped/unhooked the exhaust on mine to allow the arms to drop fully, just lifted the springs out. Beware rusty exhausts though, might brek off prematurely.

Thanks for the help guy's, followed the guide to the letter but still wasn't enough room, so used a long bar to push the rear arm down and managed to get the spring in with the help of spring compressor's, job done and all back together.  :y
