Title: Cam Cover Gasket Change Question
Post by: blackviper90210 on 26 May 2010, 10:14:34
My neighbour who's a mechanic, is going to change my gaskets on my 2.5 mig. I've got genuine gaskets & O rings. Ive just noticed that a black sealant is also needed. Best to get a genuine part or is ok to get after market one?

Thanks all!

Dave

genuine if you want the gaskets to last, make sure you torque cam cover bolts to 8Nm  :y

No problem, genuine part it is, any idea how much, just out of curiosity?

The torque setting is already noted. I've printed off the how to guide off this site to help my neighbour!!

Cheers!
