Hi all - from being a newbie thinking about getting one, I now have one! a nice 2000 3 litre elite. First impressions are very nice smooth drive.
Obviously will start going through the car and finding bits and pieces I want to put right - first question:
Whats the normal running temp range?
My car happily keeps itself between 80 and about the 90 line when stood still, fans cut in and out, but when moving on a motorway, seems to me to run a little cooler than expected - can someone suggest 'normal' for me?
Many thanks and looking forward to chatting, sharing and meeting sometime.

80-90 is absolutely fine ;) ;)

Thanks Lizzie.. and when moving along 'briskly' what would you expect then? 80 ish? below?

On a trip to Gatwick last week from Bristol late at night, the gauge barely moved off the bottom when cruising along the Motorway. :y

my 2000 Elite 3.0 typically hovers around 85 on a motorway cruise, rising to 90 in traffic. It runs slightly cooler if you have the aircon on as the rad cooling fans turn slowly. When in ECO mode they turn off.
