 Driving on the motorway this January 2010 it was driving fine until it lost power and starting to let out black smoke from the rear equast and then the management light came on – it would not go over 40 MPH.  I drove it back 20 miles and parked it up outside
its not mine its one one egay im looking at

Need codes to make a diagnosis really. Could be the egr valve at a guess.

me getting codes is very difficult as the car is 200 mile away from me whats the worst it could be apart from complete engine

Fuel pump... which is enough to write the car off if it needs other work as well.

Not worth buying unless the seller gets codes read
