Hi peeps, got trouble with a vectra C 1.8 16v '03 plate (Z18XE). Mates car cut out on the motorway and got towed back to mine.
Both Engine MIL and Car with spanner through it are on the dash - car won't start.
Fault codes are...
P0568 Cruise Control Set Signal Malfunction
P1483 Power To Fan Circuit Overcurrent
P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
I instantly thought it would be the camsensor as we all know how problematic they are on the 2.0 omegas! However, after reading the manual it says that if the engine MIL is lit it actually means there is an emissions fault???
Can anyone clarify or have any ideas why it won't start. Timing belt is still intact (although have not checked timing), cleaned camshaft and crank sensors which hasn't helped. Plugs look ok and engine still spins just won't fire.
Exhaust isn't in a great state - so wondering if this could be the problem rather than the stored fault codes???
Thanks in advance... 8-) :o

Check for fuel reaching the injectors. Even with a dodgy cam sensor engine should still start eventually

Thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention that... fuel is getting to the injectors.
Cheers.
