I know prefacelifts have the same springs across the range, and the shocks differ....
Any good recommendations for facelift mv6 springs, iirc they are different?
-
They are different :y There was a good set that someone I know got some, I'll give him a call and see if he can remember.

Different and very chuffing ouch on cost!
-
Should add that you should be able to find two ID letters on the springs.
-
I Beleive the phrase rhymes with 'hugger' ;D
Ahh well, least I priced in a fair few repairs in the negotiations.

worth checking trade club web site, you need 2000 on lowered sports chassis, almost a sensable price on tc for saloon, not sure on estate.
note, i did say "almost" a sensable price. :(
-
ok i lied, not even close to sensable, think this is right for yours?
Estate with lowered sports chassis, with removable towing attachment, from '00, ident. LR 90542361 £280.00 £238.00 £169.41

that is for a pair, no single springs listed, only front or rear axle sets.
kyb dont do lowered sports chassis.
Aftermarket i guess your looking at all four, and will probably be 30 mill drop from stock, so 15mill lower than yours, plus set up again, esp. if your doing the fronts.
Not sure set up is needed for the rear if re fitting the same springs......is it? dont think i'd bother myself tbh.
So vx on tc would be cheapest by the looks?

just wondering how an lpg floor donut will affect the ride hight?
-
both springs LX....
-
Im putting bilstein shocks and eibach springs on my face lift MV6 at the weekend. Car has only done 60k so there in good nick. They will be up for sale if anyone needs them ?

did i see yours has removable tow bar attacment? retro fitted perhaps? or did i imagine it?
-
must have been retro.
certainly not planning on towing, so not really a concern

willl be one of the smaller tanks :y
-
has noone got a cheaper option :'( :'( :'(
What would be the result of using 'standard' prefacelift springs?
(guessing not being matched to the shocks, a higher, unstable ride?)
-
Not ideal.
Trouble, is at the price for the pair (the trade club price is for 2) you could get some eibach's

;D ;D ;D
I thought that was each!
Bad...but not that bad ;D ;D ;D
think to go eibach, or steinmetz etc is gonna drop it more? and need to be done all round with shocks?
-
and given the car has a removable tow hook, and the likely conversion to LPG....
Should I be getting the 'towing' versions?
how do these affect the ride the rest of the time?
