Nice one :) Where are you test driving, on the road or track?
-
Its very good....lot of torque steer and a crap interior but, the chassis is surprisingly good.
The Saab 93 makes better use of the chassis with the same lump though.....
-
Yeah they have uprated the vectra to 280 BHP now have fun m8 :)
-
Yes it will be on a private track 8-), I hope it will meet my expectations, It is a pity that they have not designed a better interior as i hate the dash on this vectra but the Recar seats make things little bit better. It was surprising difficult to find a suitable dealer in my area i searched among 5 dealers and none of them had one their answer was "we don't get much interest on them sir". So it is REG VARDY that has one.

Reg Vardy? ::)
Don't be suprised if you get there to find they don't carry them in stock! ;)
Bl**dy useless (and more expensive than other dealers!)

I have learnt to expect the worse when it comes to dealers unfortunately. I think a dealership is as good as the people that run it.

It has been a nice experience to driv ethis beast, i can say honestly that it is the best car i have driven to date and fits my style. The engine sounds amazing and the power is everywhere in the rev range the built quality is super and the handling is just amazing. I have to say that it is a lot of boll**s what they say about excessive torque steer and understeer. I would buy one definately.

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself far too much!! 8-) I've not driven one of these but I have been told that the power is quite awsome. Also saw it tested by JC on Top Gear and he did slag it off for the understeer (then again JC has always slagged off veccies) It certainly appears to get the thumbs up from you [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

When I drove one I found it was more a case of being able to control the throttle and apply the right amount of power.....in fact you could use the torque steer and under steer to your advantage some time.....
-
The thing that gets me is that people like JC drive it an hammer thethrottle on a turn then of course no matter what FWD car is it will torque steer and understeer if it has power. But when you controll the throttle and the steering input then everything is nice and smooth. But even when i floored it with second going out of a roundabout it kept the direction i wanted, i was expecting it to go straight ahead from what i heard in top gear testing. I'm seriously thinking to start saving money for one. ;D

Thought you had it on a private track. ;D
Does sound like quite a beast though. ::)
