hi again thank you to all of those that helped me with my car ive dodne a paper clip test it flashed 12 3 times and code 19 3 times then went back to code 12 but during all of this the engine was off with ignition on was this the correct way to do it
thanks
-
also how do u wipe the codes to see if it comes back as code 19 or does that have to be done at a garage
thanks

I understand the fault code remains for about 20 clean starts following you fixing the problem.
I understand that a Tech2 analyzer can clear the codes when plugged in.

Any probs starting from warm/hot. Code 19 is crank sensor, replace with genuine

Crank sensor on the way out.If you dont change it soon (follow the guide in the guides section, 10 minute job) the car will suddenly stop and it wont go again until sensor is changed. ;)

hi i think im getting confussed when i did the first check with paper clip i briged pins 5 and 6 according to top buzz website and got code 19 and when i followed instructions from this site it saying use a diffrent pin to 6 its the next 1 down i think pin 7 so i did that and now getting code 61 fuel tank vent valve what the hell is that im getting confussed can anyone please tell me where im going wrong
thanks
-
Are you sure? It looks as if pins 4 & 6 are being bridged here.
Pin 4 is vehicle ground and pin 5 is signal ground. Either seems to work when used to pull pin 6 low to trigger the flash codes.
I don't know if there is another controller linked to pin 7. :-/ If there is you would want to find out what it is and what the fault codes mean for that controller.
