had a ciggy for 3 days now, and it aint bothering me in the slightest, even though its been 3 days i can now taste the difference in food, ESPECIALLY THE MINCE PIES ;D ;D.
Serious though, i seem to find that food tastes better and my sense of smell seems to have perked up, some of the lads in work smoke and i cannot belive how strong the smoke smells on them as they walk past me.
Not jumping for joy just yet though, as its only been 3 days.

Well done. One day at a time. :y You'll get to the stage where you won't even think about not having a cig .... eventually. ;)
The smokers will stink though when they come from the cold having just had a smoke. ;D ;D

Well done, Miggy! I can't remember noticing the difference in taste so quickly, but it's a great incentive boost, as is the growing aversion to the smell on clothes etc. And health wise, the best sensations are yet to come. Keep it up! :y :y

Well done Pete. On the occasions that I have given up, for months at a time sometimes, I find that complacency is your biggest enemy. As Entwood say, always tell yourself that you are an ex-smoker.
Don't let yourself be fooled into believing that you are ever rid of the evil habit.
Keep up the good work. :)

I'd love a cigar from time to time ... Christmas etc. But I know I'd be be back on 20+ a day if I did. :(

My Mum does exactly that (not the cigars)! We only drink at certain times but smoke all the time.
Wish i could find that happy medium. :(
