Title: Electric Seat Height Adjustment Stuck
Post by: laughjimbo on 03 February 2010, 12:12:15
I have seen on the forum that you need a 13mm socket to adjust the seat height when the motor has got stuck. My motor is stuck but you can still hear it clicking but not moving the seat. I have tried a 13mm socket and it does not go anywhere near, are they all 13mm? I have tried 3/8 & 1/4 inch drive sockets but still too big. Any other suggestions on how to move the seat. It is stuck in the fully up position so can get access to everything ok.

Thanks in advance.

It's pretty easy to do just pull your seat forward get in the back using a rag twist the thread understand the seat if you can reach press the button too as the will help to move it.so far has worked a treat on mine!hope it works! ;)

I managed to get a 13mm 1/4" drive socket in the slot but i did give it a spray with WD40 first and then it just went in, turned the shaft and pulled out ok and now all works well.
Thanks for the help.
