I posted in the newbie part and it has been suggested best put in here,so apologies for the "double post"!
Sorry peeps, its probably answered in here somewhere.
I have a 51 plate 2.2,recently the (both) keys started playing up,could unlock with one key and lock with other!
Boot Button on both worked.
Changed batteries, now I can lock with one,but not the other and cant unlock with either, boot button still works on both!! :-/
Getting fed up with manually unlocking at 4am and starting the street barking!
Any one have any ideas how to get the buttons working again.....please?
Be kind ,I am a newbie and not a teckie, thanks in advance.

Contact on here Martin Imber via a PM (he is listed on the membership list) who repairs the fobs, usually replacing the micro switches, and is ace at it ;) ;)

Either contact Martin Imber or you can buy switches of the net and replace them yourself if you are skilled with soldering gun.
No other way to repair it cause switces get worn out.

Martin is your man, he did a great job for me, quick turn round at a very reasonable cost.

Thanks guys.
Looks like Martin is getting the PM he always wanted! ;)
Thank you again.

In the mean time, you can try locking your car via the rear drivers' side door. Open rear door, press button on driver's door, close rear door. that way you lock the car without the alarm
Just make sure your keys are in your other hand first though :y :y :y :y ;)

Hehe! Thanks Andy.
Done that a few weeks ago, left the keys in the boot after deadlocking.
AA couldn't do it,ended up smashing the quarter light, then thought should have got a new screen out of it after paying the excess,DOH!!! ;D
Cheers, you guys are great and a friendly bunch.
PS,have pm'd Martin.
Paul.

I will do one then the other.
I am now using higher grade switches than the ones fitted - which are actually cheaper than the original ones (only 1p each lower).
