I bought an Omega today, and the only thing I can find wrong with it is that the central locking doesn't work on the front passenger door (everything else locks as it should and alarm activates). From reading around, I am guessing that it I need to replace the locking motor? I can get one on ebay, but wondered how difficult they are to fit? I know nothing about cars, and am completely useless when it comes to dismantling things and putting them back together. I envisage me sat there, with the door in bits. Forever.... :D
Is it difficult to remove/replace the door panels?
Once removed, is it difficult to remove/fit new motor?
Any advice greatly appreciated. :)

Cheers guys. Can you give me an indication (be conservative ;)) on how long the whole process takes on average please?

Very, very hard to answer, if you can, i would allocate half day to it if your not used to working on cars. No point in rushing and damaging something.

as with any job, first time you do it, how long is a piece of string, but once you've sussed it, couple of hours should cover all competence levels, unless your an inpractical incompetent type? no? good, off you go and dont save any bits. ;D ;)
