i have an issue whit starting on my 96 3.0 MV6, whit LPG installed.
it manifests as following:
- when hot, it usually wont start on first turn of the ignition, but starts perfectly on second turn of the key. if it starts on first turn of the key, the engine chokes for few moments, working on 200-300 revs, like its working on 2-3 cyls, and then starts working normally.
- every time after starting up, it 'misses a beat' in a regular 5 second intervals, for a half a minute or so. It is like a missfire or something, BUT it seems like it looses all of the electricity, because all the lighting (headlights, interior lights, dashboard...) dims for a half of second. It is like literarily the car looses all the electricity for a part of a second in regular pattern.
I have done the leads, sparks and camcover gaskets 2000 km ago.
This are no problems by it self, because it runs fine, but i'm concerned that it will develop a bigger problem.

Bojan......
Please be a little patient, as there may be a time difference to some people on here that may wish to reply to your problem to help you. Others that do not have a time difference may be considering their reply and trying to put it in simpler terms to you, given that you are from a different country than your own, and you may not have the same command of the english language as them.
I'm sure somebody will be along to offer advice or a solution soon.

Hmm. :-/ A weird one. Sounds like something is loading the electrical system but the question is what.
.. Unless the dips in voltage are a symptom of the engine faltering rather than the cause. With the battery in good condition a reduction in alternator output shouldn't be that noticeable though.
Do the battery terminals get hot? Is there any sign that the crimped connections into these have worked loose?
Thoughts on the starting issue: could it be a petrol injector that's "weeping" while parked up so the engine floods. Does it improve if you crank it for a few seconds with the accelerator pressed to the floor before attempting to start?.

i'm not impatient, just bumping the topic :y
i've changed the battery yesterday, and no difference.
regarding the first thing, something crossed my mind today: could the SAI pump cause this? maybe it is in bad shape, and creates electrical problems...that would explain why this lasts only for a minute or so...

Lift the bonnet , in the triangular fuse box by the battery, pull fuse #29 here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1176542235

today, when i turned the engine on, the EML light was on for about 5 seconds, so i've done the paperclip test, and i got codes:
93 - hall sensor voltage low
49 - battery voltage high
regarding the 49 -> my battery worn out few days ago, probably due to the extensive heat.
2 rob: i see two fuses (29a and 29b)...which one?
