on my project car,a 2.2dti omega its failed on centre steering arm as relative movement at its fixings(2.2.b.1h)I was about to order a centre tie bar,but upon reading it again im unsure what he means :-/ :-/
-
think it means the steering arm bit that looks like the idler, give it a pull see if it is should not move up or down.
-
Difficult to say for sure as each tester will call it something different but its probably the idler arm. Best suggestion is to get under the car and have a look. If your lucky hes marked it. If not you could always ask the tester what bit he means. If you have the ability to check yourself jack the front up and check the bar and all joins to see what one has play (none of them should have any play).
