Title: 2.5 td fan belt and tensioner.

the tensioner on my 1998 omega 2.5td has stuck and I want to replce it and the belt any help appreciated.

Just unbolt the bit where the turbo pipe fixes onto and it will swivel down then unbolt the pully and take pully completely off and belt will come off.
I stood on it to get it back on and it's still going strong ;)
you might find the damper has seized I left mine to soak in diesel over night and got some spring back. I don't think you can buy just the damper it's got to be the whole thing :y

I bought a Land Rover genuine replacement tensioner (they also use the BMW engine) part number STC4168 from DLS on ebay.

many thanks guys,the air con belt has to come off first does it ?
