I've snapped off part of the vacuum pipework on my V6.
Its one of the small pipes thats on the front vacuum box - the square one on the back of the inlet ducts.
It got snapped off when taking the pipework off in prepping for a cambelt change.
Question is, can I glue it back on, and if so what sort of glue?

I have seen a repair with hot glue and a short length of brakepipe but, to be honest, worth getting a replacement. There is another, similar, vacuum reservoir beside the pollen filter in the scuttle on the minifacelifts which tends to get less damage as the years progress, so might be a worthwhile aquisition from a breaker.... ;)

I also broke this part on my V6 when I did my head job. I used No More Nails. I cleaned the large recessed part where the pipe extrudes from with a bit of carb cleaner (get rid of dirt and oil) then used a nail considerably longer than the broken off part of the pipe, used it to position the broken part back onto the reservior, fulled the recessed part with the No More Nails to about half way (enough to let the vac pipe be pushed back on, left it overnight so the skin went hard, and then baked it at about 100DegC in the oven for a couple of hours to set the whole thing hard. The problem you will have is if you just use a normal style glue it will just break off again. I tried this first!! Mine is on the car and working fine.

epoxey 2pack is good fix and can take any heat, but need to put a sleave in to hold it together wile glue drys. but would say just get new one.

use epoxy putty then you wont have to hold it in place & it goes off in 5 mins. :y
