Title: v6 manifold leak
Post by: elite col on 23 June 2010, 17:46:53
i have a very slight blow from exhaust, but im 99% sure its up front

are the manifold prone to cracking around the egr pipe boss like the rear v6 vectra is?

or manifold gaskets bad for going?

ive inspected exhaust and no leaks from rear to past the cats

The exhaust manifold gaskets do leak, usually they go quiet when the engine heats up, until its warmed up you will hear a ticking noise.....
A bit of a pain job to do too  ::)

yeah i was thinking that only thing is its not really the usual ticking noise ive had previously with other cars needing gaskets, its more like a fart as you pull away

Its more space really. I believe its easier to do that side from underneath ::)
