				Hi,

Can anyone advise where the engine number is located on a '98 V6 please.

 Thanks

If I remember correctly it is on the passenger side of the engine above the oil filter housing. ;) ;) ;)

By the crank sensor & oill filter as Lizzie says http://images.omegaowners.com/images/guides/cranksensor_location/crank_sensor_engine_number_alt.JPG

Might not go as quick but you got to love the fourpots for ease of work under the bonnet ;) ;D

Most of the nonsensical things probably make perfect sense if the V6 is in a front wheel drive car. In particular the difficult to access oil filter, crank sensor, engine number and DIS would all be at the front of the engine bay.
