my 3.0l manual w-reg elite drives great no dash lights on etc when pottering about or even just putting foot down in high gears
but noticed today when having to pull out a junction fast it pulled fine in 1st,then quick change to 2nd and floored it,the car made a deep sound and no power, just for a split second then took off as normal
what could of caused this?
and no its defo wasent the clutch slipping
-

This sounds like traction control at work. Happens with my car all the time if I change too hard (both up and downshift).

If it`s switched off, no. Is the TC light permanently on :question
-
no light not on and switched off
does the fuse for it do abs or anything else?
-
TC is always on unless you press the button to disable it. When disabled the light comes on to show that it is disabled.

As Andy says. Light on TC off. So you haven`t switched the TC off
