What are the pros and con of converting my v6 2.6 o2 reg Omega from petrol to gas and how would I go about it
-
Pros - much cheaper running costs (approx 40% saving on fuel)
cons - loss of boot space and a bit more fiddly to service the engine as there are extra components in the engine bay.Need to fill up more often as the LPG tank is smaller than petrol tank.
You could have it done professionally which would probably cost upwards of £1500. Or if you are a reasonably capable home mechanic you could DIY for approx £800, with the help of the guides in the guides section.
There are several members who have converted their own cars and they are usually more than willing to give advice etc to others.
Before you commence bear in mind that you need to consider how many miles you do annually, obviously the more miles you do the quicker the LPG installation will start to pay for itself. Hope this is of some help. :y
P.S. If you post up your location, there may be somone near you who could assist. ;)
