Greetings and salutations.
Once again, I would like to ask for help.
Few days ago, when I unlocked my car I was unable to open my trunk. It sounds that it tries to unlock, bu I cannot open it. When I try to access trunk from inside, there is very little space, so can anybody please point me directly where to open the trunk from inside? I don't want to stuck there too :)
Thank you for any response.

there is an emergency pull thingy on the passenger side, 'top' of the boot lid. Pull it towards you (towards front of the car) i can reach it even with 90L LPG tank in the way, but i do have gadget hands ;D

Only on facelifts tunnie.
On pre-facelifts your fall back is the key in the boot lock

D'oh!

Thanks for quick response.
I have pre-facelift one (forgot to mention it).
It is bad news, because the key I have slides into lock, but I cannot turn it to unlock :(

Not sure but I think you can rip off the bootlid carpet, then open the lock mechanism from inside. Can anyone confirm/deny?

Not much point removing carpet, the plastic trim to the bottom of the lock can be removed, but the boot has to be open as closed it will block the screws.
If the boot lock on pre-facelifts is anything like door locks they are bloody stiff, but do turn!

You cna remove the carpet type trim from the boot lid and operate the mechanism....not overly hard

Pre-facelifts different then? Take up carpet on mine and all you get access to is metal floor and fuel tank :-/

Lub the lock. They sieze up due to lack of use. Read the manual, vertical/horizontal the boot locks & unlocks with the central locking, the othe way it stays locked irespective of whether the car is locked or unlocked. :y

Wow, thanks for all those suggestions.
I will try to play with the lock then. When I push a little on the back of the lid (from outside) when locking/unlocing with fob, I think I can feel some movement inside and I certainly hear something (with a very little delay after the door locks).
Then I will crawl inside and try to open it, but it is so claustrophobic there :) I miss my Omega Caravan... :)
Thanks again.
