Title: fitting electric rear windows
Post by: russ b on 15 July 2010, 09:10:44
Hi silly question maybe. I'm buying rear doors the weekend that have electric Windows as opposed to my windups. Obviously I will take the switches and loom from centre console is there  anythingelse I need to remove from donor car or any tips many. Thanks

interesting question.

I think that all of the wiring will already be in place, so I guess that if you fit the doors, plug in the connectors and fit the switches then you might have a nice surprise

It may not be as simple as you hope as i had a 98 2.0gls  and there was no wiring to the rear doors for the windows at all and its not a seprate loom.
Hope yours isnt the same but if it is and you get them working do a how 2 when you do it  as i still need to do the conversion(my brother has the gls now).
