Title: p1125 eng code help please
Post by: andybaz on 10 July 2010, 17:40:22
Hi all, loads of pages to read through, searched p1125 but returned nothing, idealy a vaux techy would be nice to chat with  8-).

car:vaux. omega B 2.2 DTi Y22DT eng 2002.
At a certain rpm/speed the eml light come's on,code stored p1125,my snap on machine has no running data values to check, just gives me this code description, turbo appears to be working fine coming in about 2000 rpm,but up the top end,the light on,and LIMP HOME mode, igntion off then back on and restart while crusing, all ok until you hit a certain rpm/speed then limp home again.
Car unsafe to over take a line of traffic on bypass, scary at 70 mph to fine no power and cars coming up behind you FAST !!
Also towing the caravan, slight road incline and wham, limp home mode again and the rpm/speed is a fraction of the speed when driving with out towing, hope that makes sense.

I have searched in the maintanence section and found my code p1125, my machine displays 'critical system injector pump malfunction2'.
in the maintanence guide it mentions follow fault finding tree/procedure, any one got any views or links for this would be very greatfull for your assistance.

May be 1 day i can help some on here. Thanks for now.

Quick way to check vac lines thoroughly ... with engine running at idle .. lightly spray along vac lines with carb cleaner, if the engine note suddenly changes/picks up .. you have just found the vac leak, as the cleaner has been sucked in and acted as extra fuel.

Fix the problem, wipe down with paper towel.. result ... fault fixed AND a nice clean engine .. :)

Hi, forgot about the brake cleaner test,do that a lot at work when the symptons on idle, but my symptons are well up the top end of the rpm range.

So scanned fleabay and taking a chance, ordered a OMEGA 94-03 disc at £4 posted, will see what i can find, then next stage will more than likely be the VAUX pay per view web site for data etc, better make sure i have plenty of disc space to save any data  :y  .

Still open to any views any one or better still - a FIX on the car that is  ;D ;D

Must admit only ever done this with petrol cars, not tried on diesel, that may be why i didnt think about it,posty bin... no disc yet  :(.

I had my reply back from snap on uk about the fault code, the code relates to overboost or something, i will ever to copy and paste the email content here later.

All these 1125 on diesels are normally around blocked pipework for the sensors.

Give the intake a good clean, paying particular attention to boost pressure sensors...
