Title: idle problem

Hi i have a idle problem it just won,t tick over but drives lovely through gears but when i first start it up it has i high pitched whining noise which goes after about 30 seconds it only does this when cold. any help would be great cheers Bob

Sorry forgot to say it,s a 2.5. v6 and it does cut out all the time cheers

High Pitched noise is SAI - Secondary Air Injection, nothing to worry about, this can be unplugged if you want.

Idle, take out and clean the ICV - Idle Control Valve, guide is in the maint section.

Also do a paper clip test as well to get your fault codes  :y
