Is it any good for my car? seen some going cheap thats all.

don't bother... GM 10/40 all the way. Castrol is one of the worse for mayo, does not work well in the Omega with all that condensation in the filler

best way to avoid mayo is to remove the filler neck and screw the cap direct into the cam cover like a vectra

I would say the best way to avoid mayo is to use your car fully, avoiding short journeys, which is not healthy for any engine. ::) ::)
Mayo is the least of the worries if there are too many short journeys, without at least one very good run once a week. ;) ;)

I wouldn't put Magnatec in my lawnmower, let alone my car.
For those suggesting removing filler neck, it has the advantage that it gives you a reasonable idea of what breathers are like

Well ive never had trouble with mayo, i always keep an eye on my levels and try to avoid short journeys.

I still wouldn't use it to lubricate the bearings on a wheelbarrow....

i always used castrol on my old astra and it drove me for 400.000km without any problem on the engine.. magnatec diesel 10w40 and it worked like a charm. i really don't think bmw would recomend a bad oil for their cars (for those wh dont know on bmw oil cap it is written to use only castrol).
