Too technical for you Mike. It makes a funny noise until warmed up properly.

Thanks for that, but I do know the tappets are in the engine block :y

If you get a good'un, they are miles ahead of the pre facelift.

I expect he thinks a hydraulic lifter is a bit noisy from cold, but on a well maintained V6, it's more likely to be the exhaust manifold as Dave says..

It's fine now it gets 4-6k oil changes.

All that kit at £3200 is a bargain and if Mrs EP was in a better frame of mind I would buy now and suffer later ;)
