How much should a CPS set me back - I want to replace mine ahead of it failing -as I am thinking its the cause of the irratic idle when warm, and sometimes taking longer to start - but don't want to get ripped off by the motorfactors. Should I go to VX?

I've thunk & thunk ...... but what's a CPS? :-/
crank/coolant p? sensor?

Crank position sensor? Or cam position sensor? Either, genuine vx only.

or Crown Prosecution Service ::)

Sorry - Crank Pos. Sensor - the one by the oil filter and the cause of hot engine stopping and bad starting. £50? £100? for a VX part?
