TD autobox and torque convertor arrived today for my conversion... minus the flexplate  >:( I know that there is a difference between the V6 and TD ones but why and what diference does it make before I start making grumbling noises at the breakers who didn't include them (I have a V6 flex plate.. or will have) I thought all it did was give the starter something to turn ??? :-/

that's about right. you'll probably find that the difference is in the centre pcd.

Something in the back of my mind says the TD has a different arrangement of torque converter to driveplate bolts too.

But yes, the centre bolts will almost certainly be different given the ancestry of the 2 engines.

Yup, according to epc only 3 bolts hold on the drive plate and another triangular plate 90509017 (disc reinforcement, torque convertor) so I guess I will be on the telephonic device in the morning  >:(

Isn't it close enough to drive to? If there's a counter to vent your frustration over it can sometimes be a bit more effective!  ::)  ::)  ::)   :y

Ahh, yes, that's it. Sounds like you do need to make a call.

Sadly not, but if they sort this out without too much fuss then they will get a big  :y from me anyway. So far they have been very helpful, and I have no doubts that they will keep that going.
