Title: ebay chips 2.5 td

has anyone on here had the chip being sold by 'MGEAR555'?? Want to know if its worth the £££ and wether this being fitted has caused engine health problems??? Might order one but dont know if they should be avoided and go to someone like SUPERCHIPS'. Any comments please  :)

Many on here have chips from a guy I know. £70 delivered I believe.

Some people with 427 ECUs have reported a stutter around 1500rpm, my own feeling is the chip is showing an underlying issue with the car that the std chip doesn't highlight.

I had one of these in my old TD, and was delighted with the result.

ok thanks for that  :) I will be after one in the next couple of weeks but i'm currently trying to get round problems with poor efficiency and performance at low revs; currently going through the process of eliminating what ain't doing it, does the guy still do them?

Yes, he still does them.  Seeing him tonight as it happens - local Oxfordshire ABS meet :)
