hi can anybody give me an idea as to what may be wrong with my omega
It pulls to the let quite quickly if yo take your hand off the steering wheel
The tyre pressure is ok and all tyres have been balanced and was told by budget that the tracking was spot on,
The steering wheel is cocked an inch left from the 12 o clock position and there seems to be a clunk to the front left wheel when you his a nasty lump or bump in the road
It drives very well at high speeds with no wobble or vibration,,,,,,,,,,,,, any ideas
thanks chaps

.....
and was told by budget that the tracking was spot on .....
you really need a full '4 wheel geometry' check doing. ;)

Have you hit any pot holes recently? :-/
Your suspension could be damaged, so a good inspection, with plenty of pulling and pushing, is recommended ;) ;)
Oh, and check your n/s front wheel bearing for play ;)

Yeah best to start with a proper geometery check as wheel alignment does nothing for our cars .... check the wishbones and steering idler for movement :y

Check the wishbones for play (and replace ;)) before paying for full geometry :y :y

You say the 'tracking' checks out ok, yet the steering wheel is a good way off centre.
Nice.
Some loony has tried tracking it when they dont know what they are doing.
The problem probably lies with the wishbones, TRE's and potentially the steering idler. Check these components out first, and if necessary, replace them (with genuine parts, else you'll be doing it again in 10k miles).
Then get a proper 4 wheel alignment check. Before you do this, use PlusGas daily for a good week or so on the front and rear adjustments. This will hopefully unseize the 'more than likely' seized components, and allow adjustments to be made.
