Post by: blakjak on 10 August 2010, 18:05:36
Hi everyone i just like to know a few things i have a 1998 3Ltr Mv6 omega and I've been offered to buy a power steering pump, a heater matrix and an automatic gear box at a good reasonable price and they are all from a 2.6Ltr v6 omega i just want to know would they be compatible for my car or would i have to get the right parts for the 1998 3ltr mv6.

I believe the very last Omegas had a different power steering pump, so you'd have to check one against the other.
I would think the auto box on a 2.6 is the same as that of a 2.5 ie AR25. Your 3.0 uses an AR35, capabable of 350 metric torques unlike the AR25 which can cope with 250 metric torques.
The heater matrix is the same though ..... I think  ::)  ::)
