As long as you have the right socket for the job, and use a socket wrench with plenty of leaverage, you should be able to remove the plug. I have never had a plug break yet in 40 years of engine servicing and some pretty difficult plugs!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

Bit of a pain now you've started the job, but get the engine nice and hot, then try to undo it. Just watch out for your poor paws! ;D

Okay cheers I'll have a go as long as your sure it wont break.

Are you turning it the right way ::)

scaff bar...
no not really. a bit of "wd40" down the plug hole over night before remove wont hurt.
(plusgas if you must)
i have snapped them in a cast head in an old ka that had never been changed but as the mig is an ali head, as lizzy said they should come out.

I'm guessing that as well as being on the difficult side its also the furthest one back! if so, the socket won't be sitting snug. It will be angled cos of the metal scoop thats just in the way >:( so you'll need either an extension that has twisty connection (can't remember what they're called & doesn't work properly beacause of access) or...... seek professional help ;)

Thanks for all your help,
I got it out, after a while.
It looks like these plugs had not been changed for years
Thanks again
