Title: Cam locking tools
Post by: kcl on 12 August 2010, 09:06:43
Is this set of any use? http://www.toolsheduk.com/Q/1157/2/28/Engine-Timing-Set-For-GM-V6.html#LargeView

Can anyone recommend any other brand sets? What would be the best value for money?

Mine is a Sealey VSE130.

I bought it S/H off another member. Worked ok on his and my engine

here is one on the Bay of E (new) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sealey-Tools-Petrol-Engine-Tool-Kit-5pc-GM-VSE130-/390129718470?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment

Believe that there have been some problems with the Laser product.  My own is a Sealey bought secondhand and I would recommend the Sealey products.

There was a batch of laser kits that didnt work well, was a few years ago now, so shouldnt be anything to worry about.

The kits of choice i beleive are Sykes Pickavent or Sealey
