Title: Omega Estate 2.2 dti 02 plate HELP!!!
Post by: mattyvonn on 15 June 2010, 20:43:13
Life story... car went into limp home mode, had oil filter and oil change, air filter also.
Drove it about 50 miles the next day no porbs, left it for 2 days, then would just turn over and not fire.
Mr AA man towed home, I then changed the fuel filter, changed the vac pipes as they were worn and split.
It now turns over, fires up but just dies. Sprayed easi start in the air hose and it runs fine whilst spraying until you stop, then the car stops!!! A mechanic says it the fuel pump, but would it fire sometimes for 10-20 secs??? I have realised that fuel pumps are common fault but it didn't splutter or anything (I also filled the fuel filter back up with diesel after changing the filter and the cars done 121000) Help... I've not long had it and love it  :(

Hi,

I can't diagnose the fault but if you post up your location maybe someone nearby would be able to take a look at it.
