Title: timing chain problems omega 2.5 td

hi all has anbody on the forum ever changed timing chain tensioners on aomega 2.5 td as mine are us this caused the timing chain to jump a tooth so the is running lik a bag of spanners would this have caused any valve damage?  :-/
