Having read part one, I decided, having never done so at 98K, to check the two pipes, one from the EGR, and the one to the bottom of the inllet manifold. Both were OK, I could blow through each. However, since refitting, when I start from cold or cool, the engine is reluctant to respond immediately to throttle pressure, having been fine previously. For instance, when I started it this AM, it fired up immediately, but I was able to depress the pedal to the floor for what seemed ages - probably only half a second - but with no initial response from the engine. Once warmed up performance appears normal. ( Yes the pipes did go back on the right place, as I did them one at a time.)
I suppose it is possible I have introduced a crack in a pipe, would that cause this and only when cold, as normal running appears unaffected? Or is it just coincidence, and should I look elsewhere? Diesel magicked about 500m ago.
TIA :-/ :-/ :-/

Check you haven't kinked the pipes.
I had problems with the same thing last week (codes 41 and 96 showed) I replaced all pipes(uesd injector leakoff pipe) and found 1 was kinked and the car kept stalling.
Also replace the small filter behind the power steering res. :y

My bad!!! Checked again, and the EGR pipe had dropped off the solenoid connection. Pipe braiding is worn so I'll follow your route and replace it.
Thanks a lot. :y :y :y

Hi
I thought this was normal for the omega, mine has done this since i bought it 4 years ago.
I can be in first gear not touching anything just on tick over, then I put the pedal to the floor, nothing hardly happens for a few seconds then it accelerates away really quick. If I do the same going up a hill I normally have to press the clutch give it some revs and off it goes.
I have it chipped so its like it really takes off but reading these posts maybe there is something wrong??????
Any ideas
Thanks
Forgot to add, it also does it when its warm too!!!!
