Title: HT Leads - Which Ones
Post by: rajveer.sandhu on 19 August 2010, 14:11:15
I am planning on replacing my HT Leads for my Omega 3.0 V6 facelift.
Are the Magnecor Electrosports 80 cable (8mm) - code 6049 a good buy?
They are around £150 - but how much more performance do they give?

How often should HT leads gets replaced?

Performance increase will be zero.

Unless your old ones are goosed  ;D

I got my leads off ebay for around £25 - work ok but probably won't last as long as the one's you are considering buying but then again I could buy 6 sets of leads for the same price.
I only bother changing them when they are shot.

A very good quality set of leads will not increase performance by any measurable amount, but they will 1. last longer, 2. provide a steadier and more reliable current to the plug and also 3.look better.

If any of the three advantages above float your boat (and the first two are a must) then spend good money on good leads.

For the V6, they are £120 (not sure on price for owners of 4pot), but all boast a 'claimed' 250ohms of resistance per foot.

I've recommended them to everyone I know, and nobody who have them installed has complained!  :y
