Title: emissions failure

hi guys just put the miggy through the mot ...only failed on one thing co2 emissions on the 2 idle tests it was 0.63% instead of 0.30% .. was told to put some cataclean in and put it through again ..does this sound right or do i need to put it on a diagnostic ?

Was the oil temp fully up (they should have stuck a probe in dipstick)?

yes it was read at 84 degrees

This happened to mine last year with virtually the same readings.Cataclean was a waste of time, turned out to be the CAT. Was told to change to Shell fuel and do not use supermarket stuff. It certainly runs better with Shell fuel

Mine normaly fails on the first couple of automated tests, but passes when the proper oil test is done...

Italian tune up = rag the nuts off it for a while immediately before the test..
