Title: Gearbox

I am looking for a new autobox.  I'm aware that there are two different types for the omega.
What are they and how do I tell the difference between the two

you are after an AR35 as yours is a 3ltr as its the stronger box, you should find an I,D tag on the g/box itself just behind the selector switch area. :y

You will have an AR35 in yours,(3.0 V6) 2.5's and Diesel varients will have an AR25 which is a weaker box and should be easy to identify by markings on it.

Putting an AR25 'box in yours will be a bit of a dumb move, look for another AR35 if yours is "goosed."
