Facelift, driving with the window down I managed to push down the door lock, it would not pull back up, I had to press the button on the key, is this right?
-
Pulling the door catch doesn't lift the lock? Thats what works on some cars i've had, pull the handle not the lock
-
Just be careful you don't fall out!!

Sounds like you've bought a pup, I'll take it off your hands for a tenner. I'm good like that. ;D ;D

No, I tried that ::) Just read the handbook and it says to pull up the door knob, which will not lift up..... ::) ::) Might just have to try harder, or have I missed something..... :D

Just thought the same as i read vamps reply. :y ;D ;D

Sounds the same as mine - the entire door needs dismantling and the locking mechanism sorting out as I can't actuate the door locks without pounding on them with my fist.. can you push yours down from inside the car?

The locks push down with no problem just will not pull up, also you can push it down and lock with the door open, the manual suggest that this can not be done....think this might be an electrical problem.... :-/

Aye most cars have a safety feature prevent you locking the door when its open so you don't lock your keys in, actuator is probably sticking,

Thanks, so what and where is this...?

black box with wiring harness going in one end, a rod attached to the top, inside door panel, will be fixed into the locking mech,
Somethings fouling that if its only actuating from the key i'd presume, while your in there press the fob a few times see what it does, then try pulling it by hand and see what's fighting it
Picture swiped from ebay but will put you on right track
