Title: "Celebrity" Y-reg prefacelift?

Watched an episode of "Waking the Dead" earlier, a few times they were tooling about in a Y-reg prefacelift - fake plates?

Yep most likey, or its possible a VERY late registered one but i have never seen one.

TV shows / films always get it wrong, ever seen 51st State with Samual L Jackson?

There is a car chase with a 1960's Jag, and an M reg V6 Omega.

When the Omega pulls off from stationary to chase the jag.... the front wheels screech!! in a boy racer style launch  :o :o

nope, it is the rear wheels which are spinning up... the car starts off by reversing ;)

IIRC the jag's plate was believable, my dad's mate had one the same age, The Bill used a prefacelift omega GLS which had a 02 or 52 plate on it, tis very common for them to be lazy with the plates, not bothering to find them with genuine age related letters!

nope, it is the rear wheels which are spinning up... the car starts off by reversing ;)

errr the front wheels are rotating clock wise as the car tries to go forward, but the front wheels loose grip... or supposed to!!

Damn films, never get it right.

Like LifeOnMars their cop car is wrong, so is a FWD Omega  ;)

Not plate related but has anyone noticed how on US films/cheesy series car tyres screech on sand? Clever that. :-?
