Title: code 71?

need help with this fault code (air intake temperature voltage high) what could the problem be
i have checked the wires around the maf area and they all look ok. "My Naff Code Reader" air intake temp says 4.97v
Please HELP

The air intake temperature sensor is in the elbow just before the MAF, not actually the MAF itself, according to my diagram - did you check that?

Worth unplugging the sensor wires and checking the resistance of the sensor and making sure it hasn't dropped to ~0..

Its a fair bet that its occured after some work....so check the air temp sensor and front multiram connectors have not been swapped round.

For info, the multiram is the longest lead
