On occasions , maybe once a week, soon after I have started the car there is the sound of an electric motor running for about 2 seconds then it stops. It comes from the passenger side , but i do not have time to locate it . It is a little bit similar to the sound of an electric window motor, but it is not that tripping in . Any one else had this or can think what it could be ??

Check your sunroof the next time it happens, you may have 'phantom sunroof ' syndrome in the car! :-/ If so, look in the Maintenance Section for a fix :y

Thanks for the suggestion, but deff lower than that. Sort of door foot well dash area

My old mini-facelift 2.5 used to do similar ... I eventually decided, but never proved, that it was something to do with the climate control apparently resetting/cycling on startup.
:(

Im with entwood on this one,i carnt remember if theres a flap that opens or shuts by a servo moter for some reason,or is it because on starting the car the battery voltage just dippes enough for the valve to want to move then tha alternater takes over and the voltage is enough to keep said flap happy hope this makes sense :y

just disconect it if it is that
